"Gratitude and love—that’s why we continue to support Saint Peter
School. We are grateful to have sent our sons to a school that
superbly promoted so much of what is important to us: family, faith,
scholarship, kindness, and community.”

– Ted Hoff and Kathleen O’Connell, parents of SPS alums Tommy and Michael Hoff

Dear Saint Peter School Community,

As we enter our Quasquicentennial year—celebrating 125 years of faith-filled education and community—I want to share what a joy and privilege it is to serve at Saint Peter School, helping to advance its mission and vision each day.

As an avid historian, I find it especially meaningful to reflect on the legacy of our beloved school while also helping to chart its course for the future. Since joining the Saint Peter School community in January 2024, I’ve been continually impressed by the creativity, dedication, and heart our teachers bring to their work, as well as the deep sense of unity that defines this school. As we often say, “There must be something in the water”—something that makes Saint Peter’s such a remarkable place to learn, grow, and belong.

In my time here, I’ve been blessed to work alongside extraordinary parent volunteers who give generously of their time and talent. From school uniform sales and Oktoberfest to the Book Fair, International Night, the Dare to Dream Gala, and Field Day, parents are truly the lifeblood of our community. Their support fuels the vibrancy of our school year and enriches the experience of both students and staff.

To our alumni—your stories, memories, and experiences form the foundation of this school’s enduring legacy. You represent 125 years of tradition, friendship, and excellence. We’re actively working to grow our alumni association and look forward to building deeper connections with you in the years to come.

To our parishioners—thank you for your continued partnership. We are grateful to share in the life of Saint Peter’s Parish, and to witness more and more children receiving the sacraments through the parish’s outstanding religious education program. Together, we serve not only our school but the wider community through outreach efforts like the Giving Tree, food drives, and more.

In closing, thank you all—parents, alumni, parishioners, and friends—for your steadfast support of our school and church. Whether you give of your time, your energy, or your resources, your care and commitment help sustain Saint Peter School and shape its bright future.

With gratitude and hope,

Douglas Lovell
