The Learning Center at St. Peter School is committed to providing personalized academic support to help every child thrive.  It offers vital support for students with documented accommodations and/or disabilities. Our team works closely with teachers to ensure that students receive the appropriate resources and interventions tailored to their individual needs. Whether support takes place in the classroom or in the Learning Center, it is always designed in collaboration with classroom teachers to ensure seamless integration into the curriculum. We believe in the importance of a holistic approach to education, and our specialists are dedicated to creating an environment where every student can reach their fullest potential.

Our Learning Center team is focused on providing not only academic support but also an open line of communication with families. We recognize the importance of keeping parents informed about their child's academic progress, and our specialists work closely with families to provide regular updates. Together, we aim to create a supportive, collaborative environment that fosters both academic growth and personal development for each student at St. Peter School.

Welcome from the Director of Student Support

Dear Families of Saint Peter School,

Welcome to the Learning Center and welcome to the 2024-25 Academic Year!

As the new Director of Student Support, I am excited about joining this wonderful community here at Saint Peter School and I am excited to be working with students of all ages.  I am also excited to be joining a fabulous team of our specialists in the Learning Center, Mrs. Mary Strokowski and Mr. Matthew Schell.

Students who have documented accommodations and/or disabilities will be receiving academic support from our team.  Support services may take place in your child’s classroom or in the Learning Center as it is arranged between your child’s teacher and the Learning Center team.  Teachers and Learning Center specialists will always make sure that families are updated on their child’s academic progress.

If you know that your child has documented accommodations or a learning disability, please contact the Learning Center at [email protected] or call 617-547-0101 Ext. 120.  You may also contact your child’s teacher directly.

Thank you for your amazing support and we look forward to working with you!

God Bless,

Brendan O’Connor, M.Ed., Director of Student Support

Mary Strokowski, Learning Center Specialist Grades K-3

Matthew Schell, Physical Education Teacher/Learning Center Specialist Grades 6-8
