Volunteer Opportunities

Get Involved at St. Peter School!

We encourage all St. Peter School parents to join in the fun and spirit of community by volunteering at St. Peter School. Volunteering is a wonderful way to show your children the importance of service, teamwork, and giving back. It also gives you a chance to connect with other St. Peter families, support our school, and be part of the joy and energy that fills our hallways.

There are so many ways to get involved! The Parent Association (PA) organizes some of our most exciting events—like Oktoberfest and International Night—and always welcomes extra hands to help plan, set up, and run these beloved celebrations. You can also support the school by helping out with lunch and recess duty, chaperoning field trips, or leading an afterschool club or activity (ski club is quite popular for our parents!).

Whether you have an hour a week or a few hours a month, there’s a place for you to lend your talents and enthusiasm. Volunteering at SPS is not only rewarding—it’s also a lot of fun! Come be part of what makes our school community so special.

Volunteer and Chaperone Requirements:

To get involved, you’ll need to complete a CORI form each year and complete VIRTUS training once.

CORI forms are available in the main office—just stop by to fill one out and bring your driver’s license or passport for ID verification. Prefer to fill it out ahead of time? You can also download the form HERE—just print it, complete it, and bring it to the office along with your ID.

Please note: Both a CORI form and VIRTUS training are required for all volunteer roles, including classroom help and field trip chaperoning.

If you’ve already completed the VIRTUS training and submitted your certificate to the main office [email protected] you’re all set!

If not, please complete the training before volunteering. You can register for any session (not just those at SPS) at virtusonline.org, and don’t forget to forward your certificate to us.
