Extracurriculars and Activities
At St. Peter School, learning extends well beyond the classroom. Our students enjoy a wide range of extracurricular experieces that foster curiosity, community, and adventure. One of the most anticipated events of the year is Field Day—a school-wide celebration held at Danehy Park. This joyful day brings students together for friendly competition and outdoor fun, with activities ranging from kickball and tug-of-war to relay races and a mile run. It's a highlight
of the school year and a perfect way to celebrate the spirit of St. Peter.
Throughout the year, classes take part in a variety of enriching field trips that connect learning to the real world. Younger students might explore local destinations like the library, firehouse, or police station, while older students venture to historic and cultural sites such as the Boston Tea Party Museum, Plimoth Patuxet Museums, the Smithsonian Observatory, or even hike Mt. Monadnock. These experiences bring lessons to life and build lasting memories.
In Grades 5 and 7, students participate in Nature’s Classroom, a beloved multi-day program held at different locations across New England. This immersive outdoor education experience encourages personal growth, teamwork, and environmental awareness. For our 8th graders, extracurricular experiences reach a new level with the option to join a Spanish Exchange Program in partnership with a Catholic school in Madrid. This cultural exchange fosters global understanding and lifelong friendships.
To cap off their time at St. Peter School, our 8th grade students take a much-anticipated class trip to Washington, D.C.There, they explore the nation’s capital, bond as a class, and reflect on their journey as St. Peter students before moving on to high school.
