Students cheering

At St. Peter School, we value physical activity as an essential part of a healthy, balanced education. Our students enjoy two recesses each day, giving them plenty of time to run, play, and stay active. Whether it’s a casual game of soccer, basketball, or simply burning off energy with friends, recess is a joyful and important part of the school day.

In addition to daily movement, all students participate in weekly Physical Education classes. These sessions offer a structured and fun way to learn teamwork, sportsmanship, and physical fitness. Activities vary throughout the year and include kickball, floor hockey, running games, calisthenics, and more—helping students build strength, coordination, and confidence in their physical abilities.

St. Peter School also offers a wide variety of after-school athletic clubs and programs. Popular options include our Ski Club, which travels weekly to Nashoba Valley during the winter months, as well as Futsal Club, dance programs, and seasonal sports clinics. These opportunities allow students to explore new sports, build skills, and enjoy being active with their peers.

Starting in Grade 3, students can join our competitive basketball program as part of the CYO (Catholic Youth Organization) League. Our school teams practice on weeknights and play weekend games against other area Catholic schools. This program emphasizes teamwork, discipline, and school spirit, giving our student-athletes the chance to grow both on and off the court.
