Governance and Advisory Structure

St. Peter School operates within the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Boston as part of St. Peter Parish. The school’s day-to-day operations are overseen by the Head of School, who reports to the Pastor. Together, they collaborate with the parish staff, Archdiocesan offices, and the St. Peter School Consultative Board to guide the school’s governance.

The Consultative Board, a volunteer group of at least nine members drawn from the school, parish, and broader community, advises on strategic planning, policy, development, finances, marketing, and mission effectiveness. This board plays a crucial role in ensuring the school’s long-term success and vitality.

Board members are appointed by the Pastor and Head of School for up to two consecutive three-year terms. They meet regularly throughout the year and engage actively in school activities, championing the mission and vision of St. Peter School.

The Consultative Board’s guidance helps ensure that St. Peter School continues to thrive, upholding its mission of academic excellence and community service.
