About St. Peter School

St. Peter School, a Roman Catholic elementary school located in Cambridge, Massachusetts, was established in 1901 by the School Sisters of Notre Dame. The school is accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges.

St. Peter School serves girls and boys in K1 through Grade 8 and offers a rigorous academic program to a diverse student body, which includes many international students.

A talented and dedicated faculty, many of whom have Masters degrees, and the presence of Special Education teachers enable the school to maintain consistently high standards for all students. A balanced literacy program with guided reading and phonics, Saxon Math leading up to either pre-algebra or algebra,an inquiry-based science program in a new lab and project-based learning experiences enhance the curriculum. Partnerships with local universities extend learning beyond the classroom.

The Student Council sponsors a dance, a food drive and other service projects. soccer and basketball teams are coached by Mr. Gray. The AfterSchool Program is designed to expand children's horizons in a safe environment.
