The days are shorter now and darkness descends upon us ever so early. However, at St. Peter School, the bright lights of our children are shining forth everyday! As I go into classrooms, I continue to be amazed by their curiosity and creative thinking.
At the beginning of this new year, 2012, I find myself reflecting on the accomplishments our wonderful school has made this year so far. We have provided a rich academic curriculum in all subject areas and I witness our children reading, writing and progressing in math, science and social studies. In fact, our eighth grade students continue to be accepted at all area high schools! We added another two Smart Boards to the ones that we had installed last year and we continue to be pleasantly surprised at the many ways that they enhance the learning of the children.
I look forward to continuing the New Year 2012 with much excitement and enthusiasm. I am reminded each day that we must continue to help each child realize his/her full potential as an independent learner and critical thinker. We must also continue to help our children nurture their talents in the performing arts and I am grateful for the exceptionally strong drama program we have here at St. Peter School. Finally, we remain committed to helping each child develop a strong moral character to make the best possible decisions and to reach out in social justice to those less fortunate.
Blessings to all,
Principal
