Mr. Mark Smith
Director of Admissions
When my husband decided to take the first semester of 2011 to be a Visiting Scholar at Harvard Law School, we started making the arrangements to spend a semester in Cambridge. The choice of the school where my son would study during this period became our greatest worry. We needed to find a school that would teach him what he should be taught, but at the same time, give him the love and care that he would need being away from all his childhood friends and family.
We researched schools in Cambridge and sent applications to three that we thought our son would adapt to.
The first to send us a reply was St. Peter School. After we read the kind letter, and noticed all the attention received from Mr. Smith, I felt, in my mother’s heart, that I had found the school where our son would study; and I was sure that he would be treated very well. We received other nice replies, but nothing made me change my mind. From Brazil, I felt that St. Peter would give my son education and love in such an important moment of his life; given that he was away from his country for so long for the first time.
And with the blessings of God, all of my expectations were fulfilled. Bernardo left to school everyday with a smile on his face: he was happy there. He loved the school, and he loved his friends. He always told us funny stories and mentioned the positive energy that he received, not only from his friends, but from the teachers and staff at St. Peter School as well. He loved the food served at school. And with this, our greatest worry became our greatest pleasure. Even though we are now back to Brazil, we are sure that we will always be a part of the beautiful family that the St. Peter School of Cambridge is.
